  • Thinking Sphinx not working in test mode

    I'm trying to get Thinking Sphinx to work in test mode in Rails. Basically this: ThinkingSphinx::Test.init ThinkingSphinx::Test.start freezes and never comes back.   • Why can't I connect to a Cisco wireless access point?

    I'm running a Lucid Netbook Remix on my Dell Inspiron 600m and I was not able to connect to the wireless network at the Hacker Dojo in Mountain View yesterday. There were plenty of other people on the network - MS, Mac, and Linux boxes - but my laptop would never get an ip address. I can connect to my home network, which is open, and I've never had a problem connecting at the coffee shop, which uses WPA. The Hacker Dojo is running WPA and we checked the password a number of times but got no love. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.   • BES Express - configure MDS to push messages from 3rd party web application

    Hi! I have developed IIS web service to send PAP messages using Blackberry Push API over MDS. And there is an application installed on device, configured to receive push messages on appropriate port. Everything works well on MDS simulator. But it's not working well in real environment: I have installed BES Express and register several devices. I can browse MDS url with appropriate port, so url is correct. Also port enabled for reliable pushes is used in push message and in device application.   • How do I install Flash Player 11 debug version in 11.10?

    I want to replace my existing browser plugin Flash Player with the debug version, and update to FP11 while I'm at it. I also want to install the debug version of the projector player and make it the default player for SWF files outside of the browser. First the browser plugin version. I've downloaded the installer from the official site, but I'm not sure what to do with the contents. There is a usr folder, and I presume that I am to write the contents of this to /usr. There is also a file called libflashplayer.so, and I have no idea what to do with that. For download for the projector player has confused me further because it only contains one file: flashplayerdebugger. I don't know what to do with this. If there is a way to install these softwares through apt-get or the Software Center I would love to hear about it, I have only found solutions for the standard player, but otherwise could someone please tell me what to do with these files? Update Ok, so I've figured out that if I dump the flashplayerdebugger file into /usr/lib/ I can point Eclipse at it and compile and test SWFs as expected from inside Eclipse. But how can I set that application as the default player when I select an SWF in Nautilus?

  • grub2 loopback booting ubuntu server iso

    I've got usb-keys setup to multi-boot different linux images using grub2 loopback. The standard ubuntu release isos boot fine, however when attempting to use the server iso it will fail to install saying 'unable to detect cd-media for installation'. the grub.cfg entry; menuentry "ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64" { set isofile="/boot/ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64.iso" loopback loop $isofile linux (loop)/install/vmlinuz file=$isofile/preseed/ubuntu-server.seed ro noprompt noeject -- initrd (loop)/install/initrd.gz } I've attempted to add the following parameters as the fromiso works for debian images on the key iso-scan/filename=/boot/ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64.iso iso-scan/filename=/dev/disk/by-uuid/2859-44B7/boot/ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64.iso fromiso=/dev/disk/by-uuid/2859-44B7/boot/ubuntu-12.04-server-amd64.iso

Barr is an American actress, comedienne, writer, television producer, and director.  Barr began her career in stand-up comedy at clubs before gaining fame for her role in the sitcom Roseanne. The show was a hit and lasted nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. She won both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her work on the show. Barr had crafted a "fierce working-class domestic goddess" persona in the eight years preceding her sitcom and wanted to do a realistic show about a strong mother who was not a victim of patriarchal consumerism. The granddaughter of immigrants from Europe and Russia, Barr was the oldest of four children in a working-class Jewish Salt Lake City family; she was also active in the LDS Church. In 1974 she married Bill Pentland, with whom she had three children, before divorcing in 1990 and marrying comedian Tom Arnold for four years. Controversy arose when she sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" off-key at a 1990 nationally aired baseball game, followed by grabbing her crotch and spitting. After her sitcom ended, she launched her own talk show, The Roseanne Show, which aired from 1998 to 2000. In 2005, she returned to stand-up comedy with a world tour. In 2011, she starred in an unscripted TV show, Roseanne's Nuts that lasted from July to September of that year, about her life on a Hawaiian farm. The Peace and Freedom Party (PFP) is a nationally-organized political party with affiliates in more than a dozen states, including California, Florida, Colorado and Hawaii. Its first candidates appeared on the ballot in 1966, but the Peace and Freedom Party of California was founded on June 23, 1967, after the LAPD riot in the wealthy Century City section of Los Angeles, and qualified for the ballot in January 1968.  The Peace and Freedom Party went national in 1968 as a left-wing organization opposed to the Vietnam War. From its inception, Peace and Freedom Party has been a left-wing political organization. It is a strong advocate of protecting the environment from pollution and nuclear waste. It advocates personal liberties and universal, high quality and free access to education and health care.   • Are there Know issues with Ubuntu 11 and socket 1155? acpi=off

    Since building my new system I cant get Ubuntu (or any other flavor of Linux) to "run" properly. To boot the live cd I have to "F6" and turn off acpi or the screen halts at a black screen with "boot stuff" written above the blinking curser. When installed I can only boot if I enter repair mode from Grub menu then once in repair mode I choose Boot Normally and it boots to the desktop. Once on the desktop I can "click" (with the mouse) only on one thing...like firefox or "desktop appearance" and the mouse no longer "clicks" on anything else ...its like the computer freezes but the mouse still moves. I end up using the reset button to restart the computer. I was able to update when prompted to do so....but at the end of the update I could not "click" the "finish" and had to use the manual reset button. I have run Ubuntu since v 8... My system specs are: intel i7 2600k ...Graphics disabled in bios... Asus p8z68-v pro.... 16G Kingston HyperX.... 2 EVGA GTX 570 in SLI.... Mouse is a simple Logitech usb Wireless. Ubuntu installed on secondary sata drive.

  • Can somebody help me setting up wxWidgets 3.0 for codeblocks12.11 on ubuntu 12.04?

    I already downloaded and installed codeblocks 12.11svn9156. After that, I downloaded and compiled wxWidgets3.0 using make. When I go to codeblocks I don't see wxWidgets3.0 in the wxWidget project wizard. Also, the wizard prompts me "wxSmith plugin is not loaded, can not continue" I know some additional steps have to be done but I only found some confusing documentation. Thank you very much in advance.
